Reliability
The results obtained demonstrate the unquestioned reliability of Lineacuoio as an element of home furnishings or floor and wall covering in genuine Italian sole leather, tanned using the “Concia Lenta in Vasca” process of slowly tanning the leather in tannin baths. There is a video on this page which clearly shows some of the tests conducted on a sole leather tile.
Related laboratory analysis test reports and certifications for various resistances are available on request.

Installation of Wall Covering
In order to install, spread the adhesive evenly onto the surface to be coated with the use of a toothed spatula and apply the tile, making it adhere well to every part of the sole leather.
The Covering can be installed:
– Without grouting, one directly next to the other
– With grouting, between the tiles
Installation of Floor Covering
The installation requires the same procedures as for parquet with tongue and groove joints.
The material can be cut with a normal circular saw used for wood floors.
It can be installed:
1) Floating on a rubber mat;
2) Directly glued on screed as for the traditional parquet after checking for residual moisture.
Grouting
To complete the installation, seal the joints with glue, colored in tone with the color of the selected sole leather, to be applied in the tongue and groove joints to join the tiles, cleaning by removing the portion of the excess product.
It is recommended that the surface of both the covering and the floor onto which the material will be applied is well leveled in order to avoid empty points or protrusions. For laying on screed it is essential to check the moisture residual; for application on ceramic, marble, or metallic surfaces, it is necessary to adequately roughen the surface with appropriate tools.
Being a natural product, the variety of tone color and particular characteristics such as wrinkles, veins, and natural signs, are all to be considered elements which are typical of real leather and believed to be features of the product that help to enhance the beauty and charm of the floor and wall covering.
It is advisable to mix the various tiles at the moment of installation.
After the complete drying of the adhesive, remove the protective film, if present, by rubbing the special rubber eraser on a corner of the tile, so as to loosen the film, and then gently remove the whole piece of protective film from the tile.
Cleaning
To clean the sole leather, we recommend using a mild detergent (Fast Cleaner) diluted in water, wiping over the entire surface with a damp wrung out cloth, and allowing it to dry.
Care Warning
Do not use products that contain ammonia,
(See laboratory analysis).
Avoid leaving pools of water on the surface.
